Pakistan Idol arrived with real fanfare. Geo Entertainment licensed the Idols format, the 50th national adaptation of Simon Fuller's franchise, and premiered the show on 6 December 2013 with a judging panel drawn from three generations of Pakistani stardom: rock vocalist Ali Azmat, singer Hadiqa Kiani, and actress Bushra Ansari ^[1][4].
